ENTREPRENEUR REVEAL: Get to Know Mansi & the Story Behind Mana Made It

What if something as simple as a makeup pouch could be both practical and beautiful?

That’s the idea behind Mana Made It, a Jaipur-based handmade brand started by Mansi Negi in early 2026.

What started as a simple idea has grown into a collection of tote bags that are colourful, functional, and full of personality. Today, she puts that love for fabrics into her quilted bags and pouches, using colourful prints, soft textures, and practical designs that are made to be used every day.

Meet the Maker – Mansi

I wanted to know a little more about the person behind Mana Made It, so I spoke to Mansi Negi from Jaipur, Rajasthan, who started the brand in early 2026.

Growing up in Jaipur, Mansi has always been surrounded by colourful prints, fabrics, and textiles. So, it feels quite natural that her love for them eventually found its way into the bags she creates today.

What I found interesting is that for Mansi, choosing a fabric isn't just about how it looks. She also thinks about how it feels, how well it holds its shape, and how practical it will be for everyday use.

She mainly works with breathable cotton fabrics, while canvas is used when a bag needs a little more structure and sturdiness.

And honestly, with so many beautiful fabric options around us, do we really need to keep using those boring plastic makeup pouches?

With Mana Made It, Mansi is giving everyday essentials a colourful, reusable, and much more thoughtful upgrade.

The Idea Behind Mana Made It

One of the things that makes Mana Made It interesting is its use of quilting techniques.

Quilting has a strong connection with Jaipur’s textile traditions, and Mansi brings this technique into her everyday bags and pouches.

She combines layers of fabric to create bags that are soft and slightly fluffy, while still having enough structure to hold their shape.

Depending on the design, she uses cotton or canvas, along with fibre/polyester batting. This gives the bags that soft, padded feel that you notice as soon as you pick one up. It’s a simple combination, but it gives the products a really distinctive look and feel.

From Her Mom’s Machine to Her Own Brand

Perhaps one of the sweetest details about Mana Made It is that Mansi makes her bags using her mom’s old Usha sewing machine. A machine that has been part of her family is now helping her build something of her own.

I love how this reflects the simplicity behind starting a handmade business. You don't always need a big investment to get started. Sometimes, it's about having a skill, using what you already have, and slowly turning that into something meaningful.

For Mansi, that familiar sewing machine is now helping her bring together her love for colourful fabrics, prints, and quilting and turn them into bags that are uniquely hers.

Everyday Bags, But a Little More Special

Mana Made It focuses on bags that you can actually use in your everyday life.

Think makeup pouches, toiletry bags, utility pouches, and other handy organisers for all those little things that somehow end up floating around in your bag.

What I like about them is that they don't feel overly complicated. They're practical pieces, but the fabrics and details make them feel much more special than an ordinary pouch. And the quilting is probably one of the first things you'll notice about these bags.

The layers of fabric and batting create that soft, slightly fluffy appearance, while also giving the bags some structure.

They don't feel too stiff, but they don't feel flimsy either.

That balance between softness and structure is what makes them so nice to use.

A More Thoughtful Alternative to Plastic Pouches

Let's be honest, most of us have a few plastic pouches lying around somewhere.

They're convenient, but they're hardly exciting.

Mana Made It offers a much prettier alternative for organising everyday essentials. Instead of reaching for another disposable plastic bag, you can have something reusable, colourful, and made with fabric.

It's a small change, but one that makes everyday organization feel a little nicer.

Who Is Mana Made It For?

Mana Made It is perfect as it is practical, reusable, and full of personality. These bags make a refreshing alternative to the usual store-bought options.

They're especially nice for anyone who likes their everyday essentials to have a little personality.

The Story Behind Every Bag

Mana Made It may be a new brand, but Mansi is very clear about what she wants it to stand for: good quality, thoughtful designs, and genuine care for every customer.

There’s a lot that goes into a handmade bag before it reaches you. Starting with choosing the right fabric, cutting the layers, adding the batting, quilting, stitching, and finishing everything neatly. And that effort is part of what makes handmade products special.

As Mansi puts it, her goal is to make sure every Mana Made It bag is created with genuine intention and care.

What I Picked Up from Mana Made It

Mana Made It Medicine Pouch

I decided to try one of Mana Made It’s quilted pouches for myself. I’ve been using it to keep my medicines and a few other small essentials together, and it has been surprisingly useful.

What I Thought of It

The first thing I noticed was how soft and cushioned the pouch feels. The quilting gives it enough structure without making it feel stiff or bulky. It’s also just nice to hold, the padded texture makes it feel more special than a regular pouch.

There’s quite a bit of room inside, too. I could fit several medicine bottles, serums, and smaller items without having to squeeze everything in. The wide opening is especially useful because I can actually see what’s inside instead of digging around for things.

The red-and-white stripes were another thing I loved. They give the pouch a cheerful look without being too much. The stitching looks neat, the finishing is clean, and the zipper works smoothly.

What I liked most is that it doesn't feel like just another pouch thrown together for storage. The quilting and fabric give it that personal, handmade feel, while it still does the practical job it's meant to do.

A Note on the Service

My experience with Mansi wasn't just about the product. She was very prompt with her replies and happy to answer my questions whenever I had any.

That may seem like a small thing, but when you're buying from a small handmade business, being able to ask questions and get a quick, helpful response makes the whole experience much better.

Would I Buy It Again?

Definitely. It’s pretty, practical, and actually useful. I can see myself using it for medicines, travel essentials, toiletries, or all those little things that get lost in a bigger bag.

Final Thoughts

I love discovering small brands where you can actually see the thought behind what they make, and Mana Made It is one of those.

Mansi brings together her love for Jaipur's fabrics and prints with quilting techniques and practical everyday designs. The result is a collection of colourful and functional bags that feel handmade without compromising on usability.

And if you're still carrying around that old plastic makeup pouch, maybe it's time for an upgrade.
